Harrowsmith is a small community within South Frontenac Township, northwest of Kingston, part of a township that grew to 20,188 residents by the 2021 census, an 8.3% increase from 2016.
Homes around Harrowsmith are predominantly rural properties rather than dense subdivisions, which generally means more room to work but also more variation in age and subfloor type from one property to the next. We assess each home individually rather than assuming a standard urban-subdivision layout.
South Frontenac Township spans 948.05 square kilometres at a density of roughly 21.3 people per square kilometre – a large, low-density area built around lakes and cottage country. Around 7,937 of the township's 9,503 private dwellings were occupied at the 2021 census, with the rest largely seasonal or cottage properties, so we ask up front whether a job is for a year-round home or a seasonal one when scheduling.
We schedule Harrowsmith alongside our other South Frontenac stops, so a quote or a job here fits into a normal route rather than a special trip.
We handle new carpet installation, cleaning, stain treatment, and repair or restretching for Harrowsmith-area homes, whether it’s a single room or a full property.
This basement room has light grey plush carpet that runs up to the brick hearth of a wood stove and meets a tile floor along one side. Where carpet meets tile, the edge needs to lie flat and straight so it does not catch feet. That matters most in a room people walk through every day. We do the same work for homes in Harrowsmith.

Hot-water extraction and low-moisture options.
For carpet damage, ripples and loose or worn sections.
Harrowsmith sits along Road 38, the former Highway 38, one of several small communities spread across South Frontenac Township alongside places like Sydenham and Verona. The area's housing stock mixes older farmhouses that predate modern building codes with newer rural construction, so no two properties are quite alike from job to job. Because the township covers a wide, low-density area, we plan routes and scheduling around distance rather than assuming every stop is a quick in-town visit, keeping quotes realistic for homeowners further out from Kingston.
Services we offer in Harrowsmith include carpet installation, carpet removal for older farmhouses being updated, stair carpet installation, carpet cleaning and carpet repair.
