Bath sits on Lake Ontario in Loyalist Township. It was once a substantial 19th-century manufacturing hub before being bypassed by York Road, the Grand Trunk Railway, and eventually Highway 401 – which left the village with a genuinely old core rather than the newer commuter growth seen elsewhere in the township.
Homes in Bath's older core often share the same subfloor considerations as Kingston's heritage housing – original plank subfloors that need careful padding and power-stretching rather than a rushed standard install.
Newer homes on the village's edges are more typical plywood subfloor construction, part of the mix of long-settled properties and newer households that shapes the range of carpet work we see in Bath. We check the age and construction of each property before quoting, since a one-size approach doesn't fit a village with this much variation in building age.
Bath sits along our regular Loyalist Township route, so scheduling a quote or a job here fits easily alongside other lakeshore-area bookings.
This finished basement got new beige patterned loop carpet through the hallway and into the rooms that open off it. A long hallway shows every ripple, so the carpet has to be stretched tight and laid in the same direction from room to room. The small repeating pattern also hides footprints and vacuum marks. We do the same work for homes in Bath.
Measured, quoted and installed for Bath homes, from worn-floor replacements to renovation finishes.
Hot-water extraction and low-moisture cleaning, plus stain and odor treatment for Bath homes and businesses.
Restretching for loose or rippled carpet and repair for damage and seam issues, suited to Bath's older subfloor construction where needed.
Bath's location directly on Lake Ontario means many properties, especially those closer to the waterfront, deal with higher humidity and moisture levels than homes further inland. This matters for carpet: padding and adhesives chosen for a typical Kingston install don't always hold up the same way in a damp lakeside basement or a sunroom with limited airflow. When we quote carpet work for a Bath property near the shoreline, we factor in ventilation and moisture exposure alongside the subfloor itself, so the installation is suited to the specific conditions of the site rather than a generic approach.
For lakeside homes in Bath, see basement carpet installation and carpet padding for moisture-resistant underlay, and carpet restretching if humidity has caused ripples. We also offer carpet installation, carpet cleaning and pet stain and odor removal in Bath. Nearby, we serve Amherstview and Odessa.
